Naturopathic physicians are trained in primary care medicine, with additional education in nutrition and lifestyle interventions. Treatment modalities used include diet and lifestyle recommendations, nutritional supplements, physical medicine including musculoskeletal therapies and exercise, herbal medicine, hydrotherapy, and pharmaceuticals. Referral to and collaboration with specialists and other health care professionals is provided when appropriate. Conditions I treat include but are not limited to:

  • Allergy: Treatment for inhalant allergies to pollens, dust, animal fur and dander, and mold using sublingual immunotherapy, also known as SLIT or “allergy drops.”
  • Cardiovascular:High and low blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, high/low cholesterol.
  • Dermatology: Mole checks, eczema, psoriasis.
  • Endocrine: Diabetes, insulin resistance, hypothyroid, hyperthyroid, autoimmune thyroid.
  • ENT: Sinusitis, postnasal drip, all types of allergy.
  • Gastrointestinal: Poor digestion, food allergy, food sensitivity, Crohn’s disease, Celiac disease, Ulcerative colitis, ulcer, gastrointestinal infection, irritable bowel syndrome, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth.
  • General Health: Nutritional and lifestyle counseling, acute illness, chronic disease management, back to school and sports physical exams, fatigue, insomnia.
  • Head: Migraine and headache, dizziness, temperomandibular joint pain.
  • Immune: Allergy, immunotherapy, autoimmune conditions, viral infections, bacterial infections, vaccination information, childhood vaccination, and general vaccinations.
  • Musculoskeletal: Muscle stiffness, back pain, neck pain, arthritis, osteoporosis.
  • Post-Partum: Breastfeeding, postpartum fatigue, and nutrition.
  • Pregnancy: In conjunction with their Ob-Gyn or CNM for minor complaints of pregnancy.
  • Respiratory: Acute and chronic respiratory infection, asthma.
  • Women’s Health: Menstrual complaints, PMS, PCOS, hormone imbalance.
