Dr. Menk Otto treats most common acute and chronic health complaints. Her practice specifically focuses on treatment of allergy and hypersensitivity issues including environmental allergy, mast cell activation, and related disorders. In addition, she treats consequences of head injury and concussion, including post-concussion syndrome and the many associated symptoms.

To treat allergy, she uses in office testing and sublingual immunotherapy, or “allergy drops” to decrease the body’s reactions to environmental allergens.

As a patient, you can expect that she will provide personalized care within an integrative model by combining the best of complementary and conventional medicine. The goal of treatment is to address the root cause of illness or imbalance, and approach treatment in a simplified, targeted manner. To this aim, she frequently works collaboratively with other local physicians and specialists as needed.

Dr. Menk Otto spends time with each patient to learn about their unique life circumstances, identify barriers to improved health, and address them as part of treatment. She recognizes that improving health often requires lifestyle changes, and she will work with you to tailor recommendations to your life so that changes are sustainable.

Her approach to treatment is additionally informed by a strong background in research and public health. She currently serves as Adjunct Faculty at Helfgott Research Institute at the National College of Natural Medicine where she mentors students in the Master of Science in Integrative Medicine Research program.

She sustains her own well-being by remaining physically active running, biking, hiking, and spending time outdoors, refueling with her favorite creative outlets of photography, reading and most importantly following the lead of her husband two amazing daughters.
